Dani Fiondella, known as “D”, is a recording artist, music Supervisor and Author. Originally from Atlanta, GA and being a big-city girl, her creativity is inspired by the cities where she’s lived – Boston, Washington DC, LA and the grunge style of London. She dates herself in the 90’s quite often… with a hint of 1977.
D’s style is folk-rock/ singer-songwriter . Some of her inspirations include The Ramones, Alanis Morissette, Sheryl Crow and Fiona Apple. Stylistic and chatty, her songs are full of reflective anecdotes about trying to navigate the world. She honors the truest of human natures – being messy. Raw and honest, her songs show a variety of experiences that don’t hide the human experience to blend in but normalize it to be real.
D released her first EP at the age of 13. She grew up in the Atlanta music scene and has performed at notable venues such as Eddie’s Attic and Smith’s Olde Bar. D writes and performs with the guitar, piano and the most attractive look of all, the harmonica and its headgear. She has performed in six events for the Atlanta based non-profit, Songs for Kids Foundation.
Along with her music career, D is an author , music supervisor filmmaker. as a music supervisor, she enjoys marrying music and film with projects that dig into an array of musical styles. She is finishing a Masters in Music Business at Berklee College of Music and completed her Masters in Screenwriting at FSU’s College of Motion Picture Arts in 2019. She has written several short films and has been nominated and won awards for her films and an original television pilot.
A lover of coffee, the 90’s and cats, D is an old soul who loves to dance in the grocery store. Her love for rock and a delicious wish of wanting to have been in the crowd when Blondie performed at CBGB have been infused into her music, giving it a poetically sore and unfiltered sound.
Thank you!
